Vendée. "She's just waiting for you": the ordeal of Zodia, a dog abandoned three times in seven months
A three-year-old dog named Zodia was abandoned and taken in three times by the SPA in Château-d'Olonne, in Vendée.
If a dog is man's best friend, the opposite remains to be proven. Abandoned last April at the Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA) in Château-d'Olonne, in Vendée, Zodia could have hoped for a better future when she was adopted after a month of waiting . It was not to be: having fallen into great poverty, her adopter finally returned her to the SPA two months later, no longer able to take care of the dog. The SPA mentioned in a Facebook post the animal's "exemplary behavior."
But that wasn't the end of her ordeal. Quickly taken in by a new family, Zodia was finally brought back to the SPA in early October. "Zodia was thriving, but the relationship with the family's other dog deteriorated to the point where it became too dangerous for the two dogs, who regularly fought. So it was with a heavy heart that her family brought her back to the shelter a week ago."

Once again without a family, the dog is patiently waiting at the SPA, which will take her in. "Zodia is a heart on legs, a dynamic, cuddly, affectionate, clean, non-destructive, educated, and well-behaved dog," describes the SPA, which assures that she will be "very picky about her next adoption." "A fourth return is not an option for her. Zodia is just waiting for you."
